The most important role of the ladle nozzle is to prevent re-oxidation of the liquid steel and pickup of nitrogen by protecting the molten steel from air engrossment, while transporting the steel from ladle to tundish. This non-oxidation casting with the shroud has been widely adopted by many steel plants and has contributed to improve quality and yield rate.
The challenges remain in three driving factors for the advances of ladle shroud: maximizing the shrouding effect from air ingress, exploring multiple functions, and solving thermal shock issues.
Ceramic gaskets facilitate in making the fitment between collector nozzle and ladle shroud to be as airtight as possible. It thereby helps in reducing air ingress to a great extent, thereby helping us achieve higher quality and more clean steel.
Monoblock stoppers are used to control the flow of steel from the tundish to the mould. These are isostatically pressed refractories, which are made out of Alumina - Graphite along with special coating on the surface to prevent decarburization and provide resistance to oxidation.
API – Our stoppers have much experience in API casting and have been levelled up continuously.
FREE CUTTING STEEL – AIN containing material has shown good performance.
Sub Entry Nozzle/ Sub Entry Shroud is used to control the flow of liquid steel from the tundish to the mould. It is required for the prevention of re-oxidation of the steel during its flow from the tundish to the mould. SEN/ SES are basically isostatically pressed refractories using Alumina - Graphite as the main body material.
QUICK FIT-IN PLATES – The octagonal shaped plates, designed by finite elements and engineered to allow optimal stress distribution, are hold with a set of magnets and do not need any further clamping devices.
FACE PRESSURE– The unique and concentric configuration of the heat resistant tension elements guarantee optimal face pressure distribution and highest refractory performance.
FOR ANY TYPE OF LADLE – Vertical or horizontal installation with manual opening or automatic opening with the hydraulic cylinder
Our “TM” Tundish gate is provided with 3 plates in order to avoid the movement of the sub entry shroud in the mould during the flow control by throttling
